4th of July Parade 2008

So we decided it would be fun to have a float this year in the 4th of July Parade, and a few of us put our minds together and came up with our very first float. Mike Charo, manager of the 10U Dragonflies last Spring, came up with the creative ideas, and the rest of us just helped. I think our float was really cool! We bought a giant inflatable ball, painted the covering to match a softball, and decorated the truck with banners for our league. We played some fun songs like Hey Batter Batter, Take Me Out To The Ballgame, The Cha Cha Slide, and many more fun songs that had everyone dancing and having fun!

All the softball girls got to hand out beads to the parade goers....they LOVED that!

After the parade, we took down our float, and had a water fight! It was great! Everyone was really hot, so it felt good to get soaked!
